About
Eliene Augenbraun - Content executive and strategist, science journalist and educator
I am a data focused science journalist with experience in commercial broadcast journalism, public television, magazine publishing, international distribution, video editing, script writing, video production, workflow design, team building, federal funding, nonprofit board management. I started my career as a scientist and published papers in 3 separate fields. As a multimedia science journalist, I navigated teams through major industry transitions, including now to accessible multimedia content.

I help companies transition from where they are to wherever they need to go: from designing creative campaigns to strategic integration choices to detailed WCAG2.1 requirements for web accessibility. Legacy companies are facing dramatic transitions. If you had never seen a lawnmower, a pair of scissors may appear to be an adequate resource for trimming a lawn. Most people expect to read or listen to or watch content wherever they go. Making that content accessible to everyone is a legal requirement. Everybody knows this. Yet few industry leaders appreciate the level of corporate transformation required to reach today’s mobile audience inclusively and globally.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am all about making things happen. My superpower is connecting the right people and extracting big ideas from all kinds of unrelated data. Then I get people excited about that insight and work tirelessly to turn big ideas into reality. Please contact me if I can be of help to you.
